this week was a rather eventful week i must say. matches for the nj cyber games have finally started for us. first game we had was on monday against team WTF, which we won. bernard immediately went to first spot in the number of heros he killed, accomplishing in 1 match what other teams accomplished in 2 matches. second game against CMC had some sparks of conflict. i can safely say the gaming committee of the IT club has no brains. they disqualified us for this match. its kinda hard to explain in non-dota terms, but yea just for the everyone's information, they did something stupid. a good analogy i can find for that match is e.g. a soccer match, team A kicks the ball and accidentally hit team B player's hand with team B player having NO intention of using his hand to touch the ball. because soccer cannot use hand to contact the ball, team B is disqualified and team A wins. yes the IT club sucks. we got into the semis just because we were lucky CMC lost of WTF (e.g. A win B, B win C, C win A) that wasn't the end of it all.
the semis match against SACJC sparked up even more conflict. because one of their players were late, they had to play 4 vs 5 against us. personally and honestly, at that point in time, i was half against playing that match and half for playing that match. i didn't want to play against them cos they are a strong opponent and why risk it. and plus, we were still very upset about the IT club disqualifying us for the previous round. but i wanted to play against them cos the person who was late was my junior, and he called me to inform me that he will be late at 7.05pm when the match was supposed to start at 7.00pm. he arrived at 7.25pm but the match had already started. but what kinda irks him the most is that when he called the game marshall, the game marshall ask him to come up and discuss first, but at that time i he called i heard that he had already been given the red card (not allowed to play for the game) cos i called him to inform him of all of the things that i know. during the first part of the game when he wasn't there yet, he argued on the phone with perk lun that there was a match team attitude against team TDL that started late too. i overheard the conversation and perk lun said no such thing. when he ask him to go and check the match records, the match did start late and perk lun's reply is (if i remember correctly) go tell that to the teams. 4v5 game, its already half won. after the match, both teams decided that the IT club is trying to push all the blame to the competititers. what i can say in this is the competition was a success, but the management was a failure.
on a lighter note, there was aristal rehearsal on the wednesday after training. i must say it was good. very good i must say. especially the western dance and chinese dance. i shall not comment about all the dances since i dun wanna spoil the show for ppl who are going to watch it. but oh man oh man it is something that cannot be missed.
oh well, i shall not update anymore already. everyone's pissed with the IT club. as much as i feel pissed with the IT club, i feel guilty, guilty that i didn't do anything to try and do something to wait for a fair match. there's always 2 sides to a coin.
